Suzuki GT250X7

Now for sale in Someren, this blue Suzuki GT250 X7, 3.000 km
The Suzuki X7 from 1978, was an entirely new ground-up design, but the origins of the motorbike go way back to 1966 with the original T250. After the T250 came the 1971 GT250 and it was then revised again with an updated engine in 1976.

Fundamentally, the goal was to make a 250cc motorbike that could reach 100mph. That was the end game for the Big Four Japanese brands, to build the fastest road-going two-stroke.

It was the 1978 Suzuki GT250 X7, which, thanks to its lightweight chassis and 12 years of design development, was able to break that barrier. At last, a quarter-litre road bike with the performance to join the ton up club.

The X7 was the last iteration of the GT250 that was the basis for the new RG250 Gamma that came in late 1981.

This beautiful X7 is in Someren-Eind and can be viewed by making an appointment with me, 06-2956 3746.
