Moto Guzzi 750-S3

SOLD!!

'We proudly present to you a Moto Guzzi 750 S3 from 1976 from the 'second' owner. We got this beautiful Guzzi almost exactly one year ago from a barn in Gamshurst in the Black Forest. This is not a story, but can be proven with pictures. It is already difficult to find a 750 S3 on the market, but a first hand and not restored? According to our information the engine has never been open, only a new cardan shaft has been installed. Moreover, the speedometer had a defect at the odometer reading of 39105 km. The old speedo is of course available to us. The (first) owner owned several machines and sold us this Guzzi for health reasons in March 2019. He bought it in the autumn of 1976 from the dealer Hoferer in Achern. The good man drove for the famous BMW dealer Fallert hobby races on converted Kingshafts BMWs. We sat in his kitchen with a cup of coffee and he told us that motorbikes were sacred to him, but that he thought it was important to give them the spurs after he had driven them nice and warm. A friend of mine, who still rides with him, still admires him for his driving style. We could still tell from the tires that probably one or the other row four with much more power had to make way in the Black Forest. The good man was excited about the fact that his Guzzi was doing well. Besides that one should know that the engines of Italian origin were a topic of conversation at the time of a high spread of series. Once you've been to the Moto Guzzi factory in Mandello del Lario, you'll be surprised how a roadworthy motorcycle from this factory could be left behind. We can confirm his impression, this Guzzi has at least 54 hp on the crankshaft when I compare it to my private Le Mans. The previous owner, who unfortunately is no longer with us, wanted his Guzzi to be in good hands. Our task now was to keep as much of the good old patina as possible. The whole machine was ice-free. New tires were fitted and all fluids, including filters and candles, were replaced. The tank and side panels were sprayed in exactly the same shape as Moto Guzzi in 1976. It is a Lafranconi exhaust system that the Black Forest rider was already driving and produces a great sound. The original system is of course present. With the brakes we didn't take any risks. Both the front and rear new pumps were installed in the "Old School" version. Well-preserved steel flex lines had already been installed. The motor was subjected to a pressure loss test and the good driving impressions were confirmed on site. We also made the steering fittings new. In addition, there are countless small things we have done. What we couldn't find so far was a lettering for the right side of the cover. If we could find one for a fair market price we would of course send it afterwards. The engine has of course got a new MOT. We think this is a dream of a motor.

The current owner wrote this about the S3 and contacted VintageMotorcycles.nl to sell this beautiful Moto Guzzi for him. A great bike, an even greater story.... Interested? Contact me for price, more information, an appointment or a video call.
