Starting today, this beautiful BMW R25/2 is for sale. The R 25 was the successor to the sales success R24 in 1950, because there was a great need for cheap means of transport. Compared to the R 24, the R 25 was only slightly modified. It did, however, finally have plunger rear suspension, a system that the heavier models had already received in 1938. The front fender had a curl that served as a "mud flap". The machine also received standard ball couplers for attaching a sidecar. A different transmission ratio was also available for this purpose. The machine had a tubular frame and drum brakes. Engine block and gearbox were cast from aluminum. In 1951 the model was succeeded by the R 25/2.
